Every estimate is free and on site. Proposals are written in plain language and list what is included: excavation and removal, base, thickness, reinforcement, joints, finish, drainage and cleanup. Choosing between services when a project overlaps
Many projects cross the lines between services. A driveway widening that turns into a walkway to the backyard and a patio at the end is really one plan poured in stages, and it usually saves money to design it together so the joints, slopes and drainage line up. A shop slab with a commercial apron and a residential patio at the same address is similar. Tell us everything you are thinking about, even if you plan to do it over several years, and we will sketch a layout that lets the first phase make sense on its own and the later phases fit without tearing anything out.
What to expect at the estimate
The estimate visit usually takes 20 to 40 minutes. We walk the site, measure, photograph drainage problems, ask how you use the space, check access for trucks and equipment, and talk through finishes. You will not get a hard-sell script. You will get questions, and a written scope soon after that explains thickness, base, reinforcement, finish, demolition and drainage, so you can compare it with other bids. If the honest answer is that you do not need us, for example because a small crack can be sealed, we will say so.
Materials, mixes and finishes we discuss
Most residential flatwork uses a standard structural mix with air entrainment for freeze-thaw resistance. Finishes range from broom and exposed aggregate to integral color, stamped patterns and sealers. For heavier commercial use, the conversation moves to higher-strength mixes, fiber or steel reinforcement, and specific joint patterns. We discuss options in plain language and note where an upgrade improves long-term performance and where it is only cosmetic.
